During the treatmeant the lymph flow is stimulated by a gentle, soothing special massage and, if necessary, diverted. We then maintain this effect by applying a compression bandage. The first phase of the therapy is aimed at decongestion and consists of three to five treatments per week.

Manual lymphatic drainage is an effective therapy for reducing swellings of various kinds. We use it for lymphological diseases, chronic venous weakness and acute swellings after operations.

LYMPH DRAINAGE & LYMPHOMAT

For this purpose, we use the worldwide proven 12-chamber system lymphamat® GRADIENT, which is based on the successful concept of gradient, intermittent compression - a result of extensive medical research based on the development of compression and thrombosis stockings.

The device is used for all types of limb oedema in clinical, outpatient and home settings. Due to a significantly reduced treatment pressure at the end of the cuff, it relieves the upstream drainage areas and is therefore particularly suitable for treating lymphoedema.

In addition to the manual application, the apparative compression by the so-called Lymphomat is an integral part of the decongestion therapy.

IF THE SWELLING HAS BEEN REDUCED TO THE DESIRED EXTENT, THE THERAPY FOR CHRONIC DISEASES STARTS WITH THE SECOND PHASE.
